Developing a culture of teamwork and effective communications across international teams.

Project Scope CURE International (CURE) is a Christian nonprofit organization that operates a global network of eight charitable pediatric hospitals around the world. Since its inception in 1998, the organization has completed more than 5.3 million patient visits and performed 330,000 life-changing surgeries for children in Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Niger, the Philippines, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Given the dynamic and challenging environments in which CURE’s clinicians operate, the organization recognized the need to equip surgical medical directors with leadership skills necessary to strengthen teamwork, create high reliability workflows and overcome obstacles to advance their important work of healing children throughout the world.

Solution
Resonate Leadership Lab, in partnership with Missions Development International, developed a customized program for CURE clinicians, consisting of:

> An on-demand video curriculum providing guidance on managing others, conflict resolution, effective communication and building trust and respect.

> Live training forums for CURE medical directors to build new leadership skills specific to
teamwork, communication and high reliability.

> One-on-one professional mentoring sessions for CURE medical directors, allowing for personal and specific guidance, feedback and accountability.
